| Home > How Do I? |
We believe shopping for needlework should be as
fun as stitching. We have gone to great lengths to make our site as easy to use as possible. In following this
mantra, we have assembled answers to our most common "How Do I ...?" questions below.
How Do I ...?
How do I
place an online order?
How do
I place an order by telephone?
How do I
know when my credit card has been billed?
How
do I know your return policy?
How do you ship
orders?
How do I
know how much shipping and handling is?
How do
I know how quickly my order will get here?
How do I
get a print catalog of your items?
How
do I let one of my friends know about your products?
How do I use
the Wish List?
How do I find
other people to talk to about needlework?
How do I place an online order?
Simply use the shopping cart and add items by clicking the 'Add to Cart' button on each product page. Then click
'Checkout' in the upper right hand corner of the screen to place your order. You will then be taken through an
easy 3 step ordering process. All payment data is encrypted for your security. A confirmation of the order will
be automatically e-mailed to you.
How do I place an order by telephone?
Please make sure that you use
the shopping cart when placing an order by phone to expedite the ordering process. Simply add all of the items
to your cart and then either leave it on the screen or print it out. You can then call us at (800) 654-4341 during
business
hours to place your order.
How do I know when my credit card has been billed?
Your credit card is billed on
the day that your purchase is shipped to you. We feel that it is only right not to bill you until your order has
been filled and on the way.
How do I know your return policy?
Accesories, Kits & Patterns:
No returns accepted if the package
has been opened. All unopened returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee. All returned orders must include
a Return Authorization Number, or else they will not be accepted. Please call to receive your RMA.
Yarn: No returns allowed. Please
note that the colors on the screen may not indicate the true color of the yarn.
How do you ship orders?
Orders are sent First Class via the United States Postal Service. Insurance and overnight delivery is available
upon request.
How do I know how much shipping
and handling is?
We have found that most needlework
sites on the internet discount their prices and then add on a large shipping and handling charge. However, at Selma's
Yarns and Needleworks we only charge the amount it costs us to ship the product to you. There is no handling charge
whatsoever. The cost of shipping on the site is an estimate and 95% of the time your shipping cost is actually
lower.
How do I know how quickly my
order will get here?
Most items will arrive at your
house within two weeks. Tobin items take a minimum of four weeks to be delivered to do a backlog at the manufacturer.
How do I get a print catalog
of your items?
Many stitchers have been contacting
us for a catalog. We are sorry to say that it would be much too costly to create a print catalog as this would
be 100's of pages in size. Therefore, our website is our only catalog. We are working on a CD that we will offer
that will have our entire online catalog on it.
How do I let one of my friends
know about your products?
On each of our product pages
we have added a 'Share With A Friend' button. Simply click on the button and you will be able to enter your friends
name and email address along with comments about the product. This will then be emailed to your friend so they
can look at the item you specified.
How do I use the Wish List?
One of the newest additions
to our site is our Wish List. Here you can add items that you would like to have. You can then send your significat
other to your Wish List (HINT!
HINT! - Christmas, Birthday,
Just Because ...) and they can then easily buy the items that you requested. An easy way for you to get what you
want without having to know what you are getting. :-)

talk to about needlework?
